Z3Talent's client is a leader in the erosion control and services industry in the Denver metro area. They work with builders in all segments to ensure their sites are compliant with stormwater codes. They are passionate about protecting the environment and carry this vision forward daily in their interactions with employees, customers, and the community. They have an exciting opportunity for a Division Vice President who will manage overall operations, productivity, quality control and safety measures as established and set for the company.
Their responsibilities will include:
Operations:
- Establish company-wide operational policies and procedures to achieve financial and operating targets.
- Serve as the lead interface between all functional areas of the business, including the management of ever changing 24/7 needs of their customers.
- Conduct 1-1 daily, weekly, and monthly meetings with field management staff and safety lead.
- Ensure efficient yard and warehouse operation through oversight of vehicle and equipment purchases and disposals, including safety spot checks, repairs as well as maintenance of buildings and ground, and management of company mechanics.
- Approve large material purchasing and inventory as necessary and also ensure that field crews have required tools and supplies for daily projects.
- Collaborate with estimator and project managers to make “go/no-go” decisions on certain projects.
People:
- Lead all facets related to continuing to build a world-class team to serve growth in demand.
- Formalize and lead training programs for both new and existing hires to drive employee retention and ongoing satisfaction.
- Manage existing operations and certain corporate staff, including setting and evaluating performance goals.
- Work with safety manager to maintain and improve a top-tier safety program.
- Periodically visit crews on site to ensure quality control and safety.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will be a self-starter who understands the value of collaboration and the ability to communicate across the organization. The ideal candidate will have an expertise in scaling operations and comfortable building relationships with customers. This will be a thought leader in the organization with the ability to create and execute processes and systems to allow for growth.
Desired Experience:
- 10+ years of hands-on operations or field experience, preferably in the stormwater or erosion control industry along with 7+ years management experience with increasing levels of responsibilities.
- An exceptional operator who has been at a larger organization that has gone through a period of growth and been a key contributor to implementing processes and systems to allow for scaling.
- Effective in a dynamic culture – the company prides itself on putting customer demands first.
- Comfortable working under pressure in leading a team to meet tight deadlines.
- Prior experience and strong understanding of financial statements including budgeting.
Education:
- A bachelor’s degree in business, construction or related field or equivalent experience in related industry.
