What to expect on your first Rinse.
Pickup
At 5:30pm on the evening of your scheduled pickup, you'll receive a text message with a 30-minute estimated time of arrival for your Valet between 8pm and 10pm. Your Valet will bring your personalized Rinse bags so you have everything you need to use Rinse. All you have to do is have your clothes ready in a hamper or pile by the door.
Cleaning
Once we pick up your clothes, we'll take them to one of our vetted local cleaning partners. You'll receive a detailed email including the list of items you've entrusted to our care. Your clothes will then be inspected for stains and items that shouldn't be washed, and professionally cleaned according to the service you selected.
Delivery
We'll send you a text message on the morning of your scheduled delivery to confirm your delivery between 8pm and 10pm. Once confirmed, you'll receive another text message at 5:30pm with an estimated time of arrival for your Valet. Your Valet will deliver your clean clothes, ready to wear!
Our standard turnaround for orders is 3-4 days. Next-Day Rush Service is always included with your Rinse Repeat Plus Wash & Fold plan. All other Wash & Fold customers have the option to add Next-Day Rush Service for $9.95.

We offer pickup and delivery if you can’t be present between 8pm and 10pm.
Our Valet will pick up or deliver your order to your doorstep or concierge, at which point you’ll receive a text with a photo showing where your items were left.
You can enable Rinse Drop on any (or all) of your orders.
Rush Delivery
We offer Next-Day Rush Delivery for Wash & Fold orders for an additional fee of $9.95.
Simply let your Valet know upon your pickup. There’s also an option to set a permanent preference for Rush Delivery in your My Account page.

Your questions, answered
Do you wash my clothes together with other people’s clothes?
Your clothes get their own machine, are separated by lights and darks, cleaned according to your preferences, and delivered neatly folded to your door – we even pair your socks.
Where do you clean my clothes?
Your clothes are cleaned at one of our vetted cleaning partners. We only work with carefully selected local cleaners who have established a very high level of quality and reliability. For your protection and overall peace of mind, we have also built multiple layers of inspection and control to ensure high-quality.
What is the turnaround time?
The normal turnaround time for delivery is 3-4 days for all our services.
For Wash & Fold, we also offer next-day Rush Service for an additional fee of $9.95. Note all Rinse Repeat Plus plans include free Rush Service on all Wash & Fold orders.
At this time, Hang Dry and Dry Cleaning cannot be rushed.
What if I’m not at home during pickup or delivery?
If you are not available during our 8pm - 10pm delivery window, you can enable the Rinse Drop settings on your account, which will allow you to designate where you would like your order to be left. Please note that we do require a Release of Liability in order to enable the Rinse Drop settings on your account.
If you opt to utilize Rinse Drop for pickup or delivery, we ask you to consider that our Valet has access to a safe place to pick up and deliver your clothes. Typically, this means you can buzz us into your apartment building remotely or you can provide a door code, but every situation is different. If you don’t feel comfortable with your items or deliveries being left there, please don’t select it as your Rinse Drop location!

Should I separate my laundry?
We just ask that you separate your Dry Cleaning / Launder & Press from your Wash & Fold clothes prior to your Valet’s arrival. If you are not able to do so, no problem! Our Valet will still provide your Rinse bags and can standby while you sort your items.
There is an easy rule of thumb for how to best separate your laundry:
- Anything you would like returned, pressed, and on hangers should be placed in the WHITE (Dry Clean / Launder & Press) bag.
- Any laundry you want machine washed and returned folded should be placed in the BLACK (Wash & Fold) bag.
We also offer customers TEAL Hang Dry bags. These bags are for any laundry you want machine washed and hung to dry (a.k.a. “air dry” or “line dry”).
Do you have same-day or next-day delivery in New Jersey?
Next-day option for Wash & Fold is available!
We offer next-day Wash & Fold for an additional Rush Service fee of $9.95. You can select this option when placing your order or set a permanent preference for next day Wash & Fold on our customer preferences page.
In addition, all Rinse Repeat Plus plans include free Rush Service so you’ll get your laundry back the next-day during our normal service hours (between 8pm and 10pm).
At this time, Hang Dry and Dry Cleaning cannot be rushed.
Clothing care in New Jersey
Did you know that the inventor of Dry Cleaning, Thomas Jennings, was a New Jersey resident? Jennings was a 19th-century entrepreneur, abolitionist, inventor, and the first African American to hold a patent in the United States. New York City might claim Jennings as their own, but census data tells us that he actually lived in Hoboken, New Jersey! He commuted across the Hudson River, like many do today, to work as a tailor and eventually owned his own business in New York City.
Jennings invented dry-scouring in 1820, a method of cleaning clothes without water to keep delicate garments looking new. Jenning’s groundbreaking dry-scouring approach to clothing care evolved into what we know as Dry Cleaning today. We hope we’re making Jennings proud here at Rinse with our green Dry Cleaning methods!
